Expected voter turnout for 2020 Election

Political experts are predicting the highest percentage voter turnout in more than a century.

Forecasts suggest 150 million Americans will cast their ballots in 2020 even during the coronavirus pandemic. Those numbers are helped along by states expanding voter access and mail-in voting and we've watched as those early voting totals continue to shatter predictions.

So who does all this help? According to election watchers, a lot of early voting is done by Democrats. But that doesn't mean a landslide for former Vice President Biden.

Republicans predict their voters will show up in force on Election Day, which has been the case historically. There was also a surge in voter turnout in 2018, and while that helped Democrats in the House, it helped Republicans in the Senate.

When it comes to which side is more interested in this election, a poll from The Atlantic reports both Republicans and Democrats are heavily passionate and ready to vote.
