If you're looking for a cheap outside enclosure when he gets a little bigger. I bought a 19ft longx10ft wide and 6.5ft high chicken enclosure on Amazon for 220$. I'm expanding my 13ftx10ft one I already have for my male Russian tortoise. I adopted him from someone keeping him in a tiny tank so l wanted to spoil him. I put a lot of edible plants and weeds in using the tortoise table app. Added some hides, an underground tunnel, some hills, and a hamster wheel he surprising loves. Watching him enjoy it is beyond worth it and it's really not as much work as you'd think. I started with the basics, making sure the enclosure was escape and predator proof. Added a few plants and a hide. Then just kept adding from there. I also let my bearded dragon outside in it during the day and leopard gecko for a few hours at night.

The millet is a great addition.
For anyone wanting to do this but not able to overhaul their enclosure, you can do it in a shallow plant saucer. Sprout them and then put the whole saucer in.

Which plants are you using?
The grassy looking plant looks perfect for what I want in the empty spot in the high light level area of my leopard gecko enclosure!

Hi, looking to upgrade my tank for my tortoise in the future and was just wondering do you need to clean the tank and stuff or does the grass filtrate the faeces naturally and break it down, because if not I figured emptying out the entire enclosure and refilling would be a bit tedious considering the grass and such😅😅😅
