I loved this book! the content is easy to understand and although it covers a diverse set of topics, it keeps the explanation brief and helpful. which should be my next book Utsav? would be glad if you could make a follow up video on this...!

You’re right Utsav. Most system design material I’ve seen of late, are just like fast food trying to rush you through concepts to prepare you for a FAANG interview or extremely hard concepts like Klepman’s that’s just finally dissuades you from even learning system design in the first place.

The other Alex Hu book is alright but doesn’t go so in depth.

I’m hoping this book will both go over each of those 5 chapters with enough detail and follow up with examples on application of those concepts too.

It’s almost invaluable as a Senior Tech Leader today not to prioritize improving your knowledge of how systems are designed and tradeoff considerations as your responsibilities massively shift from barebones coding to take some other higher level architectural designs decisions regarding business challenges and how slight tweaks or redesigns of certain systems can unlock fresh revenue or stop revenue loss for an company/startup.

I’d like you to review David Farley’s - Modern Software Engineering book next and give me a cool shoutout.

Thanks.

Hello Utsav
Your recommendation on books are great. Enjoyed the one you gave on data structures. I suggest you strongly consider doing book Reviews both in depth or light weight on some computer science subject of your choice with beginners to advanced users in mind. Thanks for the amazing content on the channel

Hi could you recommend a book on software design. Like how to design a large scale software with multiple elements like database, cloud elements(AWS/AZURE), break into smaller components, make Class relationship diagrams to use OOPs properly. Any book that talks on this.

Would you recommend this book to someone who has less than 1 year of experience and looking for a SDE 1 role?

Thank you for the recommendation, Utsav! Which book would you recommend for a mid-level engineer who understands some concepts about distributed systems on a theoretical level - 'Web Scalability for Startup Engineers' or this one 'Understanding Distributed Systems'? I would soon be building distributed systems at my work (a growth stage startup) and want to pick a book that has some practical applications.
