As an American citizen, I used to live in HCMC. I taught 6th and 8th graders maths and science full time. I unfortunately got locked out by the pandemic during a two-week trip to USA. I now live in the Philippines. But there are no opportunities to teach here, and there are several other things that make the Philippines unsuitable to me. Too many changes going on in Vietnam, I don't trust that government enough to retire there. I have spent time there, loved the people, veiw, food. But no on retirement, even though its cheaper now, that will change.

They need to make it easier, I am not going to invest $130k in a country where I dont speak the language and is essentially a corrupt developing country, thats why its so cheap, but the RISK of financial failure is extremely high in countries with those conditions, but apart from that have no desire to start a business at my age. Just not attractive, next.
