How does adding a new concourse to an existing terminal reduce vehicle traffic in the terminal area by 40%? To me, they're two separate issues. If anything, building a new concourse alone increases traffic, as more flights can be accommodated.

Awful reporting. 80 million pax is not "nearly 90 million". and I concur how will the msv reduce vehicle trips.

What is wrong reporting in this video is the statement that the new concourse will decrease vehicle traffic by 40% in the main terminal area. The reporter is mixing the new concourse up with the people mover project, that will connect the terminal area with Los Angeles light rail and new consolidated car rental facilities. The reporter did not mention this one bit. This is easy to figure out. A new concourse can never decrease vehicle traffic, but a people mover can. Why the reporter missed all this, I don't know.
