This part for me was telling, he could’ve just given large about how it was all Russo’s fault. Yet he just puts Owen Hart over as a great man who cared for others over himself right till the end.

Jim's emotion during this moment is the hardest hitting moment of any episode of Dark Side of the Ring. I replay this every once in a while, which sounds like torture, but it's not. It's a cathartic reminder that our heroes are human, and the historians and critics are human. Corny loved Owen, so many people did.

You’ll actually hear him choke-up A LOT in his podcasts. He told the story of how a storm destroyed his whole neighborhood and didn’t even drop leaf in his yard…. THEN saw that a tree that he had for himself next to his mom’s for memorial was completely destroyed by a lightning blast. That one in particular you could hear his lips quiver and the lump in his throat the whole time. poor dude, Jim is extremely passionate and emotional about what he cares about. Definitely cant take that quality away from him

Even though, to this day, I don’t agree with a lot of the things that Cornette has said about the wrestling scene now, to see him like this really brought tears to my eyes. And he’s right. The stunt was a stupid idea and should have never happened.

I've had harsh words for Jim Cornette, I've deeply disagreed with much of his outlook on modern professional wrestling and even derided what he says as "Old Man Yells at Cloud"
I bring that up because despite all of that, seeing him cry about Owen Hart and saying "It didn't have to happen" hit me to the core. I've disagreed with him, but I respect the Hell out of him not holding back tears, and still continuing on with the documentary.

We will always miss the legendary Owen Hart. His match with his older brother Bret at WrestleMania 10 remains one of the great matches in WrestleMania history.
