I run across this Chuck Palahniuk quote the other day: "You realize that our mistrust of the future makes it hard to give up the past" and it really struck a nerve with me. Many of my clients (and sometimes, quite a few people in my audience, come to think of it) have exactly this problem! Well... they actually have an even harder time giving up the PRESENT:))
