57 years old and still the voice of an angel

This song was playing on the radio when I took my wife to the hospital to deliver our first child. It will always have a huge place in my life.

No one can ever sing this like Liz, one of the most underrated British voices ever.

I grew up with the Cocteau twins, Dead can dance . Liz has the most unique voice, even today . It’s timeless really isn’t it ?

23 April 1991, I was walking by the Teatro Opera in Buenos Aires and I see the posters advertising the show for Cocteau Twins. I hadn´t ever heard anything of their stuff; all I knew was that they were a band of the 8o´s and British and darkish and dense and unlike any other. But I didn´t know just how much.I hung around the city centre until show time and bought a ticket.I was amazed to see a full house.Amazed that they had no drummer and was mesmerized by Guthrie´s sound and Elizabeth´s voice. Matter of fact, a guy kept on shouting to her "I love you Elizabeth!". And just as it had started, that massive wall of sound ended. They left without any encores and I was swiftly out in the street once more, walking zombie like back home. One of those shows you never forget.

Madonna wanted to record this track with Massive Attack - Massive Attack chose Liz 😎

This has to be -without a doubt- one of the most incredible songs ever created. The calming effect it has is amazing. The power of Liz on the lyrics is from another world, and the beat is unbeliavable. I will forever enjoy this piece.

Elizabeth is a perfect match for Massive Attack. Such a cool collaboration.

My god she sounded even better then on the album... and the higher key change was also nice.

I heard this song first when I was 11 years old and it hit me in the heart. I’m now about to have a baby and have been through a lot in my pregnancy and listening to this song again has made me connect with the baby inside me in a way I have no words for. I just started singing along with her and something happened spiritually here today. Thank you so much for this beautiful other worldly song 🙏🏼

Legendary, I count myself as being very fortunate to have seen Liz Fraser perform live once.

1 whole tone higher than the original 20 years after when most of singers lower all of their songs in order to reach the highest notes ... Who would have thought?? 🙏 Liz Fraser's voice is intact 😍

I love that Elizabeth is so immersed in the song in the outro, you can’t take your eyes off her. I’m guessing that’s what Robin Guthrie saw when he asked her to join the Cocteau Twins on that fateful night, 40 years ago, when he spotted her dancing, on her own, in that club in Grangemouth. Pure bliss.

Mezzanine should have garnered a million awards.
That album was a masterpiece.

Elizabeth Fraser could sing a newspaper or magazine article and make it sound angelic and riveting!

She's even singing in a higher tone! Wow! Soooo delicated! I miss more volume in her voice to hear it more. Amazing interpretation. <3
