Sorry Mark, this not about educated individuals, it's about low paying labor for the tech industry. We seen this in the Obama Era when H1B visas were used to replace seasoned individuals who were paid at higher wages. These individuals even had to train these lower paid H1B workers before they shoved out the door. Americans have short memories.

The root of the education problem is parents who don't do their job and expect the school system to take full responsibility for the education of their children. If you are expecting the school system to teach your children basic life skills like cooking and simple car maintenance, you have failed as a parent.

Education is failed, those that get degrees compete against H1Bs to earn suppressed wages.

H1B must work for their sponsor employer. Indentured work at the expense of the US workers.

The program should measure workers in 10s or 100s to allow top .1% work visas.

We have plenty of Americans ready to work in this fields. They want to pay 40k vs paying whats really due at minimum in many cases 60k and up. It's cost savings and that's all they care about.

While I agree with you on a lot of what we need in our education system, that is not the cause of this issue. The cause stems from h1b workers being paid less than American workers in the same jobs. While there have been MANY skilled and qualified American engineers in the tech field the past decade, many are being brushed aside to favor the equally skilled and educated foreigner who gets paid less. The Americans who have been in this field of work and shunned out have a younger generation who sees the discouraging prospects and aren’t even entering that field bcuz it’s doesn’t make sense to spend a fortune on the education just to not be able to get the job, or take the job with such little pay that it doesn’t justify the amount of money they spent on getting the education required. Some of that can be blamed on the education system, some can be blamed on the cost of advanced degrees, and a lot of it can be blamed on H1b visas. It gives corporations too many incentives to increase profits in a way that hurts their own country. I don’t really blame the corporations for that, they’re trying to increase profits…but it’s at the detriment to their own country.

The worst part is that a lot of people who were spewing racial hatred had "Christ first", "Christian", "God only", "Love your neighbor", "✝️", "Love Jesus", etc. in their Twitter bios. Immigration suddenly ceases to be the biggest problem after witnessing all of that. Unto whom much is given, of him shall much be required.
