World's Tallest Seacliffs - Maui Flight

While visiting Maui with my family, I decided to take my brother and sister in law on their very first flight in a small plane. I mean if you were to have your first #flywithsoni experience where else but in paradise, right?
It was also the first time I had a lesson in a Cirrus with Maui Flight Academy.

We flew from Maui, Kahului airport to our first stop Molokai.
We landed in Kalaupapa airport, which was the shortest runway I have ever landed on. We had an amazing experience... big thanks to Maui Flight Academy for giving us an awesome tour!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I flew with Laurence this year on a Maui to Hana with my buddy. It was his first time flying in a small airplane. Looking forward to flying with him again to one of the other Islands. Keep flying! keep safe!

It's AWSOME isn't it? I was in Maui a few years ago and rented a 172 for a few days. Flew to the big Island and got a look at the volcano. Then flew to Molokai and landed at Kalaupapa. It's the one next to the leper colony. I know...it sounds terrible but there is an old leper colony on the island that is a historical park. The scenery is just off the chart. Unfortunately the weather I had wasn't quite as good as what you had. I think the ceilings were about 2800' with drizzle. But still it was the experience of a lifetime. I'm really glad you got to do it too! BLUE SKIES--
