Say what you mean & mean what you say | Dr. Simon Du Toit | TEDxUniversityofWindsor
Показать описание
This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. I am Simon du Toit. I’m a teacher of speech communication, and today I’m asking you to speak up – to say what you mean, and mean what you say. I am passionate about the idea that by speaking up, and then keeping our word, we can change the world. I’ve spoken about the science of performative speech acts, but what I hope you take from that is the power and importance of your commitments. Your lasting commitments are what will shape your life story, and give it the unique
trajectory that is yours alone.
