This is probably the most fun I’ve had writing and producing a video and it’s one I’ve wanted to make ever since I visited Flushing Meadows Park last year. Because this isn’t the typical video format found on the channel I’m not expecting this video to do well so if you could give it an extra share or two that would be very much appreciated TPM crew!

*Imagine how different the parks would be if Walt was still alive...*

(I mean yeah he’d be over 100 years old but still)

My dad went to the 1964 Worlds Fair when he was a kid. The hotel his family was staying at offered transport to the Fair. A limo pulled up and my dad and the other kids assumed this was the free transportation, and jumped in. It wasn’t. The limo held none other than Walt Disney. He was apparently pretty nice to my dad and the other couple kids that were there.

My favorite ride was definitely It’s A Small World-because I was 4 years old when I ride it in 1965! I truly remember riding it! And I DO remember the Disney Characters roaming the Fair! It is still my favorite ride at Disney World! ❤️ We lived in Port Washington, LI so just took the LIRR right to the Fair. My parents let my 14 year old brother and friends go to the Fair alone lol. Can’t imagine that happening today! Thank you so much for producing this! We have a lot of home movies of the Fair and I love looking at the old footage!

The Carousel of Progress is my favorite. The song makes me teary, and it is one of the few ways I can instantly transport back into my childhood. So much optimism and wonder in it.

Carousel of Progress is definitely my favorite attraction to come out of this fair, as it is in my top favorites of the parks in general. Brings back great memories and packs all that Disney magic we all can't get enough of.

Walt's World's Fair is one of the most interesting times for WED and the Disney Parks. It was amazing

The 1964-65 New York World's Fair was the highlight of my childhood. I remember that the lines for the Ford Magic Skyway and the Carousel of Progress were incredibly long, but the attractions were worth the wait. And, yes, people were stunned by Mr. Lincoln! The A.T.&T. pavilion introduced touch-tone phones for the first time. I was very excited to try those out!

Carousel of Progress is one ride I have to do every time at WDW! It makes me slow down and remember an exciting time in our country’s history. I love feeling connected to Walt himself, when I watch the show.

Disney didn't ask for much but this video was one of them. (Disney approves)

i worked at the Queens Museum for 5 years so The Unisphere and the park's legacy holds a special place in my heart. Although it wasn't disney related you should've shown video from the panorama of all of New York City inside the museum! It is one of my favorite places to visit.

I would have loved to see the Ford Magic Skyway come to life at Disneyland with real Ford vehicles and swap them out with new redesigned models as they were introduced to keep the ride current!

Well done! I attended the fair in 1964. I was 4, but I still remember a good deal. I still love Mr. Lincoln!
