Love the way that when the Queen of Hearts was a child she had an intense couple of blue eyes, then un the wedding the blue was more pale, when she killed her housband theres no blue anymore and the transition to no color in her eyes and the colour now being green IS wounderful🫀🫀

I really like the shot of the butterfly flying away over the garden wall - at first it looks like the girl is in a paradise, but once you look up and see the spikes overhead, you realize it’s actually more like a prison. Really well done!

I just realized in the murder scene by the bed there's a vase of white flowers with blood on them which is a reference to "Painting the roses red." I literally can't with how perfect this is while being in the Alice In Wonderland fandom 😭🤚

I think I know what green eyes stand for in the game. This is gonna sound corny, but it might mean insanity. The Cheshire Cat has green eyes, Cordelia has green eyes in the end, Alice has green eyes in some shots where she is in the asylum or just looks downright crazy. If the last lyrics mean anything for the game, then there is a good chance I may be right.

What really gets me is her watching the butterfly leave the cocoon, and immediately having its own freedom. Flying past the walls so easily, while she’s been there for so long and cannot leave or have her own freedom.

This makes me feel so sad for Cordelia. What happened wasn’t her fault or her choice, she was forced into it. But in the end she still has done bad things and that can’t be changed. Alice and Cordelia don’t seem to hate each other (from what we’ve seen so far) but this is the way the story has to go, I doubt deep down either of them want to do this

The “Deprived of oxygen” line shows how she grew up in such a confined and isolated environment that she even found it hard to “breathe” (to have a moment of freedom) and I guess all the pressure made her go crazy in the end😢

Hmmm okay here is a theory. Cordelia killed her husband with a GREEN wine bottle. Maybe the green eyes allude to not insanity itself but rather the insanity caused by a traumatic event which they don’t have an opportunity to heal from. For example, Cordelia never got her freedom. From her father, her husband or society. Alice never had a chance to heal from the trauma around her brothers death in a safe and healthy environment.

Both Cordelia and Alice were locked up in the asylum. Which back then would have made a bad situation even worse.

Edit: Wow I didn’t know this theory of mine would resonate with so many people. I would love to make fanart/design merch of this game tho lol. Anywho adhd tangent aside, I would love to see the ending that is portrayed here to end with Alice killing Cordelia purposefully.

Alice thinking this will restore everything to what it should be. Wonderland gone and Alice and Hatter being free. But Cordelia still alive but slowly dying reveals that even if that does occur Alice and Hatter will still be trapped in the Asylum never to escape. And that wonderland itself was the escape from their hopeless reality.
