My first experience with polyrhythms, before I got into music theory, was in the game antichamber. There’s a museum room in the game with a bunch of wacky ‘exhibits’ and one was a spot where you could watch something that looked a lot like this video. I watched it for at least 5 minutes waiting to see if it would line up in one line. After lining up into 5, 4, 3, and then 2 lines, it hit 1. I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
