Mine had lock rock I just tightened the pivot and it doesn't drop shut which is fine for me because I don't fidget with my knives .

It's a knife I've definitely been wanting. I really enjoy the design and I like the tank aspect of it. Plus I've never had a Benchmade lol. I'm not crazy about this color scheme I'd probably prefer the black and gray one. Great review 👍

Got the same knife but in black. Never understood limits people place on knive. If a knife can be hard used...it can be light used..daaaa. So why wouldn't I use it to open up mail or boxes? But lock rock issue...is a concern for me. I had it but for some reason it went away. Maybe it will come back or not, I don't know.

G'day Cory, as an outdoorsy type, I do gravitate towards the beefy fellas and I don't mind a thumb ramp since I can generally use 'em on both sides of the peak, however, I'm not cool with the holes; just gonna let in crud and especially for a heavy duty outdoor focused folder, that's a bizarre design choice IMO.
I've probably said before and will say again; lock rock and/or blade play is unacceptable IMO and I'd rather sacrifice the action or centering if at all possible.
As far as your presentation format; yeah we know Nick has his own particular formula and not knocking it, it does work very well for him. IMHO, for you; sure you could do a formula, though I reckon your off the cuff style still addresses the key design features, but better explains how you feel about a knife and why, ...just say'n.

Blade play is never ok as far as I'm concerned. I hear people say the same about button locks. I have a Spartan pallas and it doesn't have one bit of play. It did start 2 develop up and down play. I took it apart and cleaned it, and it was rock solid again. Every 3 or so months now I clean it. And it gets used almost every single day.
