“‘The Sixth Line.’ A missing mantra from the Jedi Code. Pretty bold. I need Jedi with that mindset. That level of devotion to the mission.”

Sending passionate Jedi to the Sith throneworld was always going to end badly. Vitiate only made things worse.

The concept of the 6th line is kinda like Mace Windu's Vaapad in concept. While it does not inherently defy the Jedi code and its ideals, following it fully drives a Jedi so dangerously close to the dark side due to the hard choices following your duty often brings. Only the strongest willed Jedi would be able to maintain adherence to the 6th line without falling, so it definitely would not be something all should adopt...maybe only as a sect of the Jedi, just like guardians and consulars.

Moreover, the line also implies an abandonment of wisdom not too dissimilar to that which led to the fall of the Order in the prequel era. Sure contemplation didn't help the order in that time either, but both their contemplation and their sense of duty were half-hearted at best due to indecision. I would argue that a 6th line Jedi would have fallen in the Clone Wars just as easily as the Jedi present there, due to the 6th line's unwavering trust of the orders they received. In fact, even if a 6th line Jedi were to survive a betrayal of Order 66, there's no way they don't immediately fall to the Dark Side thereafter from their trust being shattered.

The old republic is an amazing era from star wars I still actively play it

"There is no contemplation, there is only duty." / "Good soldiers follow orders."
Edit: Am i the only seeing a similarity here?

They kind of remain me of Odins line from one of the Thor movies "A wise king does not seek out war, but must always be ready for it."

Tank Dempsey would definitely be a very aggressive Jedi if he became one
(Talking about the thumbnail, I think it's funny)

Let's hope we see war against Jedi and sith for control of the galaxy

"There is no Contemplation, there is only Duty." You know what that line honestly reminds me of? It reminds me of a line said by Wolf O'Donnell in Star Fox Assault: "Don't hesitate. When the time comes, just act."

Why does the Jedi in the thumbnail look like Tank Dempsey from Origins.

Considering the Jedi council inactions throughout its history like the mando wars, the sixth line is good

Love your content but I think you misrepresented the reason as to why the Republic Military arrived at Ziost. Shan and the Sixth Line were on the planet under investigating the Emperor's resurgence, which was coopeted by Supreme Chancellor Saresh, who upon the sabotage of the planets defenses by one of Shan's infiltrators (who was working for Saresh and acting without Shan's permission), launched an invasion of the sith planet with the intent to deliver a crippling blow to the Empire. By ignoring Shan's warning, many Republic soldiers fell under Vitiate's control upon landfall, further strengthening his power when much of them died. What few refugees were saved was the result of both Republic and Imperial forces efforts after the danger became clear, before Ziost was turned into a lifeless wasteland.

Ah, the Sixth Line. I remember trying to save them (and everyone else) on Ziost after Chancellor Saresh bollixed up the "covert" part of the op and played into Vitiate's hands. My two favourite parts of the KotET chapters were finally putting her down, and getting to pilot a Zord on Iokath

I'd be very interested in a video about Lana Beniko. She was certainly a dark sider, but still managed to be somewhat of a good person.

When there is two sides to any conflict there will be those enjoy fighting against their enemies, and the Jedi were no different if anything they probably felt it was their duty to destroy the Sith, considering how the Dark Side corrupt and disrupt the Force.

The sixth line sounds like both a good and bad thing. It is good that they are willing to complete their mission, no matter what. However, them burying their emotions can be a really bad thing, as it would likely just lead to them being a bunch of Ki Adi Mundis.
