Things Aren't Going as Planned on Our Stone Cottage Rebuild

It's been a funny old week on the stone cottage renovation. After weeks of deconstruction on the house, we were really looking forward to start rebuilding the gable ends & prepping for the new ring beam...but it was just one of those times where not much went to plan!

Hi Victoria, here i am again with one of my grandmother's remedies. For bee or hornet stings, cut an onion in half and place it directly on the area that was stung. It really works!! The onion almost immediately stops the sting and helps suck out the poison.

One time, my nephew was chased by some bees and they stung him. (His brother disturbed a nest) My nephew was screaming and my mother ran towards him but inran to the fridge and grabbed an onion, cut it into pieces and placed each piece on a stung area. He almost instantly stopped crying. I have other stories too and the same remedy worked each time.

😅We always make sure to keep a spanish onion in our refrigerator and we always have at least one out at camp.

We are finding larvae in figs even though they look perfect, picked straight off the tree as well. Just split them open and inspect them before eating.

It was clear to see in this video that you have not been well and it looks like you have lost some weight- which lets face it you do NOT need to do! I squeeze lemon juice on a bee sting. The pain is gone almost immediately. I hear that vinegar works too. Plum jelly is wonderful if they are somewhat sour!
