This was so much fun! I will tell you, People of the Book is a little daunting at first, but what an interesting and good read! Also, the Hotel at the Corner of Bitter and Sweet is such a lovely book. I recommend both highly. I really enjoy Ruth Ware’sbooks, but The Woman in Cabin 10 was not my favorite. I’m anxious to hear your opinions. Happy reading!

A Mother’s Reckoning was really good. So emotional, but an important read.

Hotel on the corner of butter and sweet sounds so good in an utterly bittersweet way ... Can't wait to hear what you make of it ❤️❤️

East of Eden is one of my favourites. A Mother's Reckoning is really good and incredibly sad at the same time.

Hi April! I loved revisiting your October TBR list to see what you read. Great book recommendations to get into the mood for Fall. I’m a huge historical fiction lover also. Now that I think of it, maybe that’s how I discovered your channel hmmm. Anyways I just read my first Philippa Gregory book, started with The Lady of the Rivers and loved it. We were visiting London over the summer and I was so intrigued with the Tower so I wanted to read a historical fiction about it. I enjoyed Z also! The attraction of that era, not to mention getting a glimpse into F. Scott Fitzgerald’s life was entertaining. I’m literally just reading Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo now after so many great recommendations on it.

Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet or People of the Book. I highly recommend both.

Find Her by Lisa Gardner is the 8th installment of the Detective DD Warren series. You don’t need to read the rest of the series, it can be a standalone. Also The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware is great!Highly recommend both—they’re so good! You mentioned a few books I love and I added a few I hadn’t heard of to my TBR 😊

The audiobook of A Mother's Reckoning is indeed awesome. It is engaging, and heartbreaking, and completely unputdownable.

Loved this! Also I always find the comments of book tube videos super helpful. I’ve added some of these books that I haven’t read to my TBR list. I also checked out “A Mother’s Reckoning” on audio through my library, which was available. Immediately after posting this I’m going to start listening to “The Perfect Mother” by Aimee Malloy, and then “Cross Her Heart” by Sarah Pinborough.
Of the books you have not read, I HIGHLY recommend “The Life We Bury”. The audiobook is excellent. 5 star read for me. I really liked “ A Man Called Ove” too.

I just recently read Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet and loved it. I really think you would enjoy it, too, but maybe it can be your next pick!

I wasn’t a fan of Reconstructing Amelia. The chapters from the high school teenage daughter’s POV read very YA to me.

I love Strangers on a Train, Never Let Me Go, and A Mother’s Reckoning!

A mother’s reckoning is SO good!! Definitely do audiobook because it is like she’s speaking right to you about her son. Ugh so good and yes, you will cry and cry 😭

I love Linda Castillo’s series. So interesting the Amish lifestyle and history.
Jamie Ford’s books are so insightful and readable

Suggestions: David Rosenfelt for humor and love of dogs and mystery
#1 Ladies Detective Agency series

I have read several on your list but my first recommendations would be On the Corner of Bitter and Sweet and A Man Called Ove.

Into the Woods was a 5 star read for me! I love anything that Chevy Stevens writes...and I’m a big fan of the Kate Burkholder series (know you don’t like these books). I personally did not like A Man Called Ove but enjoyed Bear Town. How could you purchase 50+ books & not read them? Lol...TFS as you have given me some new authors that I need to check out.
