Gotta be honest: I'm super pissed. TYT got rid of some of their best people (Kim Horcher, Christy Lemire, Alonso Duralde etc) and shows (Nerd Alert, What The Flick), but kept douchebags like Hasan Piker and the completely unnecessary TYT Sports (seriously - who needs independent/new media to get NFL and soccer results?).

What I found cool about the 2017 Solar Eclipse was how it acted like a filter. I drove up to Oregon to see it. There was a town on a highway that I thought I'd head for the day before, camp in my car and be ready.... but as I learned more about the path, expected cloud cover... possible traffic... I began thinking Malheur National Forest. I stopped at the Welcome To Oregon tourist info on I-84. The ladies there were totally cool. They said to stop at the Baker city hall, because the rangers had an information stand there. I took their advice and went to a national forest, I went miles and miles on logging roads seeking a good advantage point. Then I hung out and talked with the people who were already there. I met a college professor who changes fields ever few years so she doesn't get bored, a skydiving consultant-- if you see something dropped out of a real plane in a Hollywood movie I probably was involved, a Microsoft founding engineer who lives in Alaska.... Even the park rangers that were up there were really bright and interesting. I didn't see any drugs. The farther in and up the mountains I went the more intelligent and interesting the people were. My original destination? Two day traffic jam. But I'm sure that was okay too.
Were you there? It happened so quick, if you were impaired you'd miss it. And Kentucky? As a representative sample of what? Those folks should stop trying to self-medicate, go to an AA or NA meeting, and then get out of Kentucky. Drugs and alcohol are really really boring.
