variant 22 mj 2023 question 5b (ii) indicates that DNA polymerase adds nucleotide to growing chain but its supposed to a spontaneous reaction no? and that it only catalyzes phosphodiester bonds

Thank you for making such amazing videos. BTW, how can I find the animation of DNA replication you use at the end of video? I find it is very useful for revision.

some questions in the past paper asks about hybrid DNA that contain heavy and light nitrogen, I am unfamiliar to this topic so I wanted ask you if it is part of syllabus or not? The questions are really confusing!!!🙄😵‍💫

hello, I am a little confuse about where do the DNA polymerase attach to? I thought it is attached to the daughter strands and catalyse the formation of phosphodiester bond on the daughter strand ? 8:21 😊

My exam board is OCR. Do I need to learn about ligases?

4:25 can u explain how fragments are even formed that are covered by ligases. I know about ligase and it's functions but I am only confused that when DNA is separated how are fragments even made in the first place plz explain in detail.thanks

6:12 hi miss, where do these free nucleotides come from? are they just present in the nucleus or did they come from the double helix after the strands got separated?

Hi, Ms Beh, I remember that a RNA primer is needed for the DNA polymerase to hook onto in order to start replicating, was that wrong or just simply not required by the syllabus?
