I once had a game where one of the players was trying to flash Opposition Agent in response to my steelshapers gift. I attempted to counterspell it, then they hit my counterspell with an offer I couldn't refuse... then the guy who said he was going to kill me next turn hit the offer with a red elemental blast... which was hit with a force-spike... followed by the Edgar Markov player who was way behind and barely alive casting fiends mischief to ensure my counterspell was able to stop the opposition agent.

My first assumption is the land homeward path, tap gain control of all your creatures. I try to run a copy just incase I run into theft decks

I ran into this same interaction during my first cEDH game. Tried to cast a doomsday and got hit with the dark ritual -> Oppo agent in response. He won on his next main phase with thoracle consult from my deck with Counterspell backup

I had a game where I had underworld dreams (opponent loses life everytime they draw) and villis, broker of blood (whenever I lose life I draw a card). Opponent took control of vilis and on their draw step milled themselves out without realizing it. I've been chasing that high of having opponents do self sabotage.

Op agent IMO is essential to EDH at this point. It punishes greedy players.

I had this happen when I used world tree to get all gods. Fortunately I had a removal spell.

I mean...maybe a brooding saurian to take back control of your creatures. OR, boardwipe and shuffle graveyard back into library

It doesn't sit right with me (and a lot of other people) as to how Hullbreacher is banned yet a card like this is still allowed.
It doesn't make sense from a RC perspective that more weight is put on card draw denial vs. deck searcher denial either both should be banned or neither.

Listen, if you're playing Goblin Guide there are risks to the reward of being able to stack your deck. If I have to watch you spend ten minutes mana echoes dumping your army of Krenko lackeys onto the board, you better be prepared to lose it all to three mana from a black player.
