the exact same problem on s8 ultra pro. after 50 times that i ried to reset it in the dock out of the dock. i sent it back

and you have to keep pressing the plug button until the blinking vanishes. So Plug-Button, keep pressed, then once shortly reset, then keep plug pressed until binking vanishes.

For gen 2, press/hold spot & dock button then press a reset. Make sure that the roborock is on the dock all process.

press simultaneously the spot and dock buttons, then reset. hold the reset button until blue lite off. hold other buttons until voice prompt

you mustn't hold down the reset button, just tap it once while you keep pressing down the plug button. The manual describes it wrongly. Probably on purpose, but don't watn to go into conpiracy here...
