Ah yeah, same. I'm Austrian and my immediate question to whether the glass is half full or half empty, it ALWAYS depends on what was the previous state of it. If it was previously empty, it has been filled to half full, if it was previously full, then it has been emptied to half empty.

It's much simpler for me: if you're drinking from the glass, then is half empty; if you're filling the glass then it's half full 🤣

I think it depends. It's half full if you fill it half way. If you fill it then drink half it's half empty.
