Most websites and LinkedIn profiles are missing two key things that help convert visitors into clients.
1.) In the first 3-4 seconds, you need to explain EXACTLY what you do.
No fluff
No getting “Cute”
You should be able to quickly articulate the ONE problem you solve… instantly.
EXAMPLE:
“Say goodbye to marketing agencies and start building your own internal content team”
I am listing both the problem and solution here.
Problem: Working with marketing agencies that over-promise and under-deliver is tiring and not working.
Solution: We’ll help you build your own, high-performing, internal content team.
Below that I can expand in the sub-headline.
“We help 7-8 figure B2B companies…….”
2.) Differentiate
If I read your headline back and 1000 other competitors can (and are) saying the same thing, that’s a problem.
It doesn’t mean you can’t convert, it just means they’re gonna have a hard time telling how you are different.
Which means, you’re far more likely to be commoditized.
EXAMPLE:
We don't just say, “We help you do video marketing for your b2b company.” Or “Build your personal brand with video”
Instead, we layer in what truly makes us unique (And ties directly into our value prop/offerings) by saying:
“Say goodbye to marketing agencies and start building your own internal content team”
If your website or LinkedIn profile nails both of these, you're probably converting more visitors into calls, and calls into PAID clients.
