Every now and then I come back to this song. I have since run out of Alice In Chains songs to listen to but this is still the saddest Alice In Chains song of all time. The first time I listened to it I wanted to fall out of the world as if it didn’t exist. Sometimes I roll over in the middle of my bed and listen to this in a fetal position. It brings back things that hurt. Things that I can’t express and that my mind is too numb to acknowledge. This is a soothing lullaby of pain.

One of their best songs in my opinion. This album as a whole took a while to grow on me but when it did I really started to appreciate how melodic and atmospheric the album is especially this track in particular because the harmonies are simultaneously beautiful and haunting at the same time, it's amazing 👏 ❤️

For the past several years I've put together compilations of differing bands, deep-diving into their back catalogs, best of the rest and so on...
I did AIC and I swear I keep coming back to them over every other band; adjust the track listing with rare songs, switch things around, whatever. Once I hear one note of AIC, it pulls me in and the rest of the month I'll listen to their catalog, front to back and then back to front. There are no bad tunes, or even mediocre ones with AIC.
RIP Layne Staley and Mike Star.
