This Indian family has 72 members living under one roof in the state of Maharashtra, India.

Four generations of the Dojjode family reside together, running multiple successful businesses between them.

The household is so large that 10 litres of milk must be bought morning and evening, along with vegetables worth approximately 1000-1200 INR ($12-24).

They hope that the next generation of the Dojjodes will live together too.

This is the real meaning of family and them sticking by and with each other for better or for worse. I hope you are blessed and happy, I am humbled by and how you are able and doing it. Your actions are louder than words, I wish they could see and understand what I say about the dedication they have for family. I have always said that, " Family and health is all you have and when they are gone you have almost nothing.". Again I wish you the wish you the best.

No sure what this BBC story is trying to highlight/ inform..? What’s the point?
I imagine multi generational living is relatively common in India..?

My ancestors all moved away, including my sibling I am the only person still living in the area. Most of them have moved to a different country. My parents and in Laws have the offer to stay here and for us to adapt to accommodate them but they have refused, wanting their independence.

That being said, it is more normalised that families stay together as a part of an Indian culture.

It's like when they showed the guy on crutches with 96 kids in Africa. He had multiple wives that explained the birth rate.

If they get a bit of money from showing how they live then great. If not, leave them bee.

We have the Radford family here in the UK and i think they were both working or weren't claiming benefits.

Either way, if they can support themselves and the family, without asking for extra help then again, leave them bee to live their lives.

My Muslim neighbours have 18 kids, council just gave them 3 houses and knocked the walls through to make it 1 big house, crazy.

This isn't a very good report of yours, is it, @BBC News? If you start off with two people married to one another who have 10 children who then get married that means that there's automatically 22 people in that family, doesn't it? If those 10 separate married couples have 5 children each that total becomes 72, doesn't it? It depends upon the breakdown of how many children the original couple have in the first place, doesn't it? That same breakdown is also quite variable as well because some of the couples may have more or less than 5 children, mightn't they?

Personally speaking I come from a family where my late mother had 10 children - 9 of which survived into adulthood - and I couldn't stand living with my own parents never mind any of my siblings or any of their children and grandchildren in the same effing house. I now live alone and I love it because it's so quiet and peaceful without all of the unnecessary noise that others like to make.
