It's easy to take it all for granted and go through life feeling invincible-especially if you've spent your life successfully facing challenges, overcoming obstacles on the way, and working hard to improve yourself both mentally and physically. Yet, for all of us, this feeling of invincibility is an illusion.

From Sudden Death to Paradise shares one man's story of suddenly facing his mortality and coming to terms with what he experienced. After being exposed to toxic chemicals while in the military, and unknown to him, author Brian Hoyland (aka T. S. Dismas) developed an autoimmune disease that would kill him-one night; Brian suffered sudden heart failure and died for ten minutes. Yet at that moment, he had a near-death experience and visited heaven, where he would learn a valuable lesson about himself, his life, his faith, and God.

No amount of suffering could take away his joy and peace, and after his experience, life was now sweet and truly a gift. With a new heart-both, literally and spiritually-he was able to realize his previous life was not part of God's plan and that embracing God's love is the only way to sustain happiness and find meaning in this life.

I just want to take a moment to confirm that this channel IS causing a ripple effect. Two weeks ago, I didn't even know if I truly believed in God or an afterlife.. now I find myself wanting to create positive energy and change by spreading love. I am attempting to do something positive for somebody else once a day in the hope that it will cause some happiness for others and maybe even cause a ripple of love. Your channel is amazing, has given me so much hope, and has changed my view on life completely. Kindness and love.

Thank you. This helps my heart as my Veteran son (only child) died by suicide in Oct 2021. He was saved and I know he went to heaven with our Lord and I’m so glad he’s feeling all that love until I see him again.

For some reason when he was talking about his encounter with Jesus, I started uncontrollably sobbing. What he said really hit home and really made me step back and ponder my life. This was one of your best interviews yet Alex. Thank you both. ❤

This guy is the best interview yet, most humble, authentic in terms of giving praise and recognition where it should be, not making it about himself.... 👏👏👏

I Love his NDE. I know that we have the ability to love because our God gave it to us. I’ve didn’t have a NDE but, I ended up in the hospital needing surgery after getting sick. I was very sick at that time but, better now and, by the GRACE OF GOD, I’m still here, I’m fine, thankful for it and, I’m not afraid to go when the time comes. I pray that I don’t have to suffer with pain.

When I was in college, I met a woman who had a NDE and, she told me things that was going to happen to me. One thing she said was that, I was going to have three children- a son in the winter and, two daughters in both of the summer months. I didn’t take her very seriously until our children were born. Six years later, I had my son in the winter and, my daughters were born 2 and, 5 years later in July and, in August. She also told me that I was going to see some shocking in the early 2000’s and, when I did, I needed to leave and, get to safety A S A P. So, when that second plane flew over our heads at 9:03 on that horrible day, with my over the top coaxing, I talked and, convinced some of my co-workers into leaving the area and, we left the area at 9:14. We were about a mile away when the first tower fell and, that was the tower we was closest to. My husband and, I both worked at ground zero. I was about 5 blocks south of WTC 2 and, my husband was about 5-6 block east of tower 2. Thankfully, we both made it home safely that day. Glory Be To God.

She told me that she was an Atheist before her NDE. When she came back, she had different beliefs. She told me that she was given a gift before she came back and, her gift was being able to see lights around others and, things they may go through. She told me that I had a beautiful blue and, purplish ora and, that we will all be fine for a long time. My Blessings got out to all who has had these experiences. 🙏🏽

Thank you for the honest, heartfelt sharing of your NDE. I too had an NDE and had an experience very similar to yours.
And thank you for your work with the homeless. For a few years, I volunteered through my church to serve the homeless. As I listened to these people's stories, I realized how quickly, how easily, an honest, hard working person can become homeless. I'm not saying that none of the homeless people I've talked to didn't make mistakes. We all do. But through a few mistakes, some misfortunes and a lack of support from family and friends, these people found themselves without a home. Too many people with go through so many convoluted thoughts about people in need to avoid feeling compassion. Because compassion will prompt action. Instead, people choose to mount the high horse of self-righteousness and wear the blinders of contemptuousness. Jesus taught us that what we have done onto the least of us we have done to him. He taught us to love, not judge. God can judge because out of his infinite love he forgives. Every time you see someone suffering it's an opportunity to show compassion. Think of it as a test.

This has been such a heartwarming interview! Looking at Brian's eyes and smile, is like looking at my brothers who passed away from a heart attack in 2018. My brother always had such uplifting words in the moments when I would feel down. His eyes and smile would always bring me peace, and listening to Brian was as if I was listening to my brother's love again, and feeling his beautiful Soul through Brian's beautiful Soul!❤
Thank you both so very much beautiful Souls for sharing such Love to all of us, and may we all continue to spread that much needed Love to all in this beautiful world!❤
Much Love and Light to all!! 🙏❤🙏

What a tremendous interview! I came to know Christ very early in my life and although I had years when I was very selfish in my late teens and early twenties, karma was very quick and taught me to stay with what was in my heart. I told my children almost every day that you get to choose almost moment by moment what kind of person you will be. Don't miss the opportunity to be the best thing in someone's day. Ask for God to teach you how to let money flow through your fingers like water to others. Sharing kindness becomes exponential and blesses you over and over. I forget the Biblical reference: what does the Lord require of you - to do justice and LOVE kindness and walk humbly with God. And love God with your whole being and your neighbor as yourself. Thanks be to God!

ALEX the experiences, and knowlege, you share with your podcast, can ease the fear of death so many feel...
I have shared your stories with all those that are open to listen...My sweetheart just got the news of stage 4 cancer 3 months to live...I shared your stories with him....He decided to have a farewell party while he felt good....he had touched hearts of so many along life...but not realizing how they appreciated it...over 300 people came, band donated music, pot luck food for all, plus donated lots after to mission. A beautiful evening of Loving shares...But your stories helped . He had a steady stream of visitors, was virtually able to be pain free..visitors till his last day, Favorite Icecream hugs goodnight and drifted off in his sleep peacefully knowing he was so Loved. Thank you Alex for showing him, there was more to look forward to instead of fear..I'm sure that made a difference.

I really enjoyed Brian's story I live in an area in Vancouver B.C where many tents are literally along the sidewalks and so many people are homeless. I appreciate what both of you said. Nobody should judge because your right we dont know what has caused these outcomes. some of the homesless are very young too. The community does what they can to feed these people. Recently 2 buildings burnt to the ground and forced majority of the people that lived there to now live on the street. This part of the city is known for having homeless people and it's too bad our mayor or sombody with some pull couldn't fix up some of the vacant buildings within the 2block radius and let these folks have a place to live. I want to advocate for them and recently felt a very strong nudge perhaps from God to try my best maybe get several people on board to help these people. I dont know where to start but I sure would like to help them. If anyone out there can give me some pointers on how to approach the city Hall and purpose a way for these buildings to be renovated so we could give the homeless a home please let me know. Thankyou.

What a lovely conversation. I identify a lot with what Brian was saying about who he was before his NDE: A good person, but someone who didn't have patience with people who didn't treat him well and would dropkick those people out of his life. I'm the same way. Children and animals feel safe around me, but if you're an adult and you cross me, look out! I'm finally starting to see how unloving, unconscious, and unnecessary that is. I want to live my life more consciously and not cause pain anymore, even in so-called self-defense. So this video had a huge impact on me. Thank you for lighting the way! This was so helpful. Much love to you both. 💚💚💚
