I think it would be better to put a sheet of paper or cellophane between the sheets of metal and clamp them together. The capacitance is inversely proportional to the distance between the two sheets of metal, so getting them as close as possible without shorting is ideal.

When replacing capacitors, be very careful, since they can still hold quite a hefty charge when powered off and unplugged.

Would’ve been great to measure the capacitance. Then perhaps add some plates and reduce the gap using some paper or something.

Sometimes its two diodes that is connected in parallel, one of them will short out causing both diodes to short. Causing a screen or tv not to switch on.

I replaced caps on my two monitors 15 years ago and they still work just like new.

Or... Sometimes the PCB ground connection sucks. Then just open/close should fix it.

I've actually got an older monitor that only powers on for a few seconds, then shuts off. I'll definitely have to check the power supply capacitors.

I believe it is an AI or similar system used to dub one language into another. If I were to make video in english and have it dubed in another language I believe I would sound a bit monotone and robotic.
