I did that with the Eucharist. I didn't know whether the bread and wine were truly Jesus or not. But I told myself that I would treat it as if it was . A few years later I had volunteered as an EMHC and after the priest consecrated the bread and wine our priest called me up and whispered that the wine had turned to vinegar and he told me to take it to the back room and pour it down the sink (the special sink that pours out into the dirt). I took it back there and I couldn't do it, I couldn't pour Jesus out, so I drank the entire chalice of vinegar. I don't know when the switch flipped in my head, but somewhere along the line I became convinced of Transubstantiation. A person can debate Catholic traditions and doctrine forever, but somewhere along the line it's best to just take it on faith and let your logic catch up.

Two of my favorite Catholics on the internet . Way before i knew you all knew each other, I saw videos by Gabi that encouraged me to pray the rosary . Then I found videos to help me get through the rosary with Mr Nester . Wow … now that’s not coincidental 😆 ! Mother Mary pray for these men on a mission to lead all those lost back to Jesus 🙏🏽❤

The Apostles were not bold.until.they saw the risen Christ. There is something to faith based on understanding. Paul said we will ve changed when we see Him as He is. My testimony of God's faithfulness gives me an unshakeable faith. The building up of the testimony was shakey, but God was faithful and brought me through.

I needed this because my mind just boggled last time I read Genesis and that God regretted He made us..and I just knew we can’t explain everything, we just need faith..

Amen! It's called giving assent to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will give us the grace to accept His truth. He guides us to all truth as Jesus promised.

Hey man, you reveal so much truth. I don't know if you really realise this. This was also the message to apostle Thomas. Thanks and God bless you.

If you ask me, pray for your growth in love and faith before you pray for understanding.

A Protestant response. Right I mean what Christian completely understands the Holy Trinity or how Christ is present in the Lord’s Supper? I know I don’t. At some point, you have to understand that your God given intellect can only take you so far because it is in fact a Holy mystery. In fact, at some point we should stop our intellectual pursuit and just accept it by faith because God may not want you to go any further.

A Protestant response. I would only add that you don’t have to belong to a particular Christian communion in order to love Jesus more. Loving Jesus more isn’t a matter of your denominational affiliation. You are not inherently able to love Jesus more by virtue of being Roman Catholic or Protestant.
