Just a quick tip for having your tubes on drill last longer, pull and bag just one tube and multiply that by number of tubes to get your seed weight. Great video, very good content. Keep it coming!

Good info!! I tried the millorganite ( spelling ? Lol) on a plot of turnips, the 2nd yr in that particular plot, it did keep the deer at bay but it did seem to last for over a month . Just an observation. I'm trying alfalfa pellets, works great in my veggie garden . Good hunting and stay safe all!!!

Wow oh my gosh. Y’all might want to watch Jeff Strgis of Whitetail Habitat Solutions. I have learned so much about food plots from him. Planting summer food plots are a waste of money. Plant fall plots because you want your buck there in hunting season not in the summer

Very nice and great detail. I just planted my dove field June 12th (video on it premiering 6/18) and I have been struggling with crab grass. It tried to take over the field last year and this year I plowed the 5 acre plot March 21st, sprayed the growing grasses April 10, plowed again April 24th, sprayed the growing weeds again May 28th and when I arrived on on June 12th to plow and plant I still had grasses coming up and growing in the area. This is all shown in the video. All I could do on June 12th was turn it in. They were young with no seed heads, but I feel the seed bank is so heavy that every time I disk I am just bringing seed up close to the surface to sprout. I planted Millet, not drilled but spread at 40 pounds per acre and I'm hoping the millet will out grow the crab grass. If I can ever get the crab grass under control I'll be one happy dove field planter. Thanks again for the video and all the great information you've provided!!!

Can i get more info on that seeder please? What model John deere do I search for? You said its an 8 footer that's split in love the idea if I can find one at a reasonable price because I have an Atv already. Id love to be able to do a few acres of food plots without breaking the bank on equipment.

Curious about what kind of soil you are working in? Is it sandy or clayish ? Just trying to gauge what kind of soil is best served with a grain drill verses a no-till drill!

Do you have anymore information on that drill?

Nice video. Cool looking grain drill. Do you use it as a no-till drill?
