The original hardware is nostalgia. It has memories built into it that the others don't have. I bought one and couldn't put it down for a week and I'm in my 30s with a PS5, a Switch and a Steam Deck. That old Game Boy reminds me of my childhood and that cant be bought.

50% of the reason I wanted a Steam Deck was to emulate Wii and DS games when the store closes. The fact that I can also play Dark Souls on it is just amazing.

Ahh nothing beat the old days of being a kid, getting in the car with the family to go on a day trip or something and putting on my headphones, busting out the Gameboy and playing the half dozen games I had on the drive there :)
