I think what is important here, is that almost all of the differences between the real and the replica need really close scrutiny with a magnifying glass. Under normal conditions on the wrist, the differences are negligible.

Just to try out how good replicas are these days, I bought a new Rolex GMT Master 2 and a fake one.
They were barely different I mean that naked eye couldn't even tell the difference and when you took off the case it even had a fake Rolex movement. Obviously the quality was still somewhat low but most average people won't even notice because they expect to see something like a Chinese movement in there leaving, "Made in China" traces. Great comparison. The “knockoff” industry negative aspects should not be overlooked however I know of Rolex owners buying a good ‘fake” to wear in places where they are afraid of loosing their real one.
