I was so stoked when they announced Fusion. The first Metroid I actually beat. Still funny to think, that it’s been literally years, and when I played it again on launch day, instant muscle memory! Funny to think now that young me was so spooked over SA-X! Awesome playthru man!

I played this game probably 15+ years ago after it had just came out. I was a NES and SNES fanboy but never played Metroid thus far (this was my first Metroid Game). It took me quite a while to complete the storyline and those SA-X encounters made my heart race and palms sweat like nothing before but man oh man was it worth the effort! I never 100% finished it when it comes to gathering all the items but watching your video I realised how smooth, enjoyable and at times difficult this amazing game was. Thanks for uploading!

2:06:45 For anyone watching this, you do not have to get that energy tank using this method. I could not get the shinespark jump to work, so you can just use the speed boost to get into the room, and then activate the floor locks with your beam and bombs, and then speed boost through the barrier next to the energy tank.

What made this game scarier at the end was I knew the computer was basically just a super computer to deliver commands from the HQ. And towards the end it seemed to have a different agenda aligned with the HQ. What made it creepy was it went from a ruthless heartless machine to only give and follow orders, im not sure what happened even to this day after playing it hundreds of times over and over again, why the computer suddenly gained almost Adam-like consciousness. I was thinking something like maybe his spirit came to influence the computer based on how Samus interacted with the computer, and how she would have Adam in mind. Pretty crazy, still to this day I’m not sure why it went heartless psycho to the leader she once knew?

15:15 it was at that moment, when this game came out, thousands of people both young and old shat their pants at the new horror they would have to either evade or fight.

It’s crazy how backwards it is getting the items in Fusion compared to Zero Mission. You couldn't even get the gravity suit, plasma beam and space jump (all incompatible items with the varia suit) early in the game until after beating the chozo boss nor the power bomb upgrade after making your way through the space pirate mother ship to Mecha Ridley. I do like how instead of going around to different Chozo statues for collectibles all you have to do is beat the boss to get the suit upgrades.

Can't believe Serris only needed two charge beam hits to be knocked into his Core-X form. -_- Spent MONTHS when I first played it in trying to beat the bastard, same with Nightmare.
