Concept 3 segment number display

if you know anyone who invented this before me please tell me and i'll mention them, also if there's a better 3-segment display that you know of please tell me

2 - Good; this looks more like a Z than a 2, but what can you expect
3 - Bad; missing one leg and backwards
4 - Good; looks like just some weird handwriting, although this could be read as a 7
5 - Terrible; I am stretching my brain trying to see this
6 - Terrible; that is not a six
7 - Perfect; it’s beautiful. I’ve looked at this for five hours now
8 - Fine; I can barely say that this looks any more like an 8 than a 7
9 - Looks like a 7, but if you rotate the stick a little bit you can see a 9

Yo, that’s actually a very creative one, I like the fact that one of the segments has a hole on it. It gives a lot of room to make more and better representations of the numbers.

What if we stopped treating digits as separate? trying to make two 3 segment displays, each displaying 10 values, and instead made a 6 segment 2 digit display, with 24 values total?

This wil never work, you can only represent 8 states with only 3 segments.

You could only make this work by adding aditional segments (4 segment displays exists already) or more degrees of freedom

For example, the display could actually have two sides, every segmenr would trigger a shape (logograph) in both side A and side B. And an additional bit would flip the entire display. That would make it mathematically possible

That's also pointless since that extra bit makes this mathematically the same as a 4 segment display. But you could argue there are only 3 PHYSICAL segments (Which would not be a lie)
