Pieria is one of the thirteen prefectures of the Greek district of Macedonia. It is located southwest of Thessaloniki and near Mount Olympus.The coast of Pieria is unique due to its vast expanses of sandy beaches that you can find there. They extend over 100km.
Capital of Pieria is the town of Katerini.
