I do have to say that SCPs aren’t necessarily meant to cause fear, they have a complex and interesting lore behind the foundation and the like. It’s actually reminiscent of old folk tells

It’s a community driven fantastical/ extremely complex and interconnected story written by hundreds of people over the course of years. Personally I find it super super interesting!
