I was there!! I was so disappointed when it scrubbed on Wednesday and they didn’t reschedule it for Thursday. We were going back home Friday morning but I ended up taking a chance, staying another night, and I got to witness my first rocket launch 🚀

The words of the astronauts are ones we should all live by; the sciences hold hands across the world with no hierarchies and caste systems, just discovery as the goal.

In case anyone wants to make any nice photos/sharable inspirational memes, I captioned the wonderful speech given by the commander:

This is crew 10 commander, Anne McClain, thank you to all of the teams from across the world who contributed to the launch today. Space flight is tough, but humans are tougher.

Days like today are made possible only when people choose to do the harder right instead of the easier wrongs, build relationships, choose cooperation, and believe in the inherent goodness of all people across the world.

To my family and friends, without you I wouldn't be here today. Explore boldly, live gracefully, go Crew-10!
