The journey starts at A591 Grasmere travelling to Keswick, returning to Barrow-in-Furness via A66 (East), passing through Keswick A5271, A591, Penrith Rd following signs for the A66, M6, and Penrith. Joining the A66 East on the Keswick Bypass, after 6 miles/ 9.6 kilometres and at signs for Troutbeck/Dockray we joined the A5091 which will connect with the A592 at Ullswater turning right and staying on the A592 this will take us right through to Newby Bridge, where we joined the A590 to Barrow-in-Furness. passing through Glenridding, Patterdale, Kirkstone Pass, Troutbeck, Bowness-on- Windermere.
