Sr. Dev Relations Tech Artist Alan Willard is back in action with more VFX training. This time he's tackling how to create and use particle collisions and distance field collisions in games. How do you build interactive particles? How can distance fields influence particle collisions? These questions and more will be answered!

Cool tutorial.
Question about particles using meshes.
Is it possible to have the player character have a collision with the particle meshes?
Say the particle throws out some cubes, can the player be blocked by them or stand on them?
Thanks.

hello good, a question can be put a particle with collision that the player does not trap, that makes the person character does not lock, that it cannot move or cross that has collision so that it does not pass

My GPU particles don't collide with the roof of my building. I have distance fields enabled and set in the roof mesh. And have all the particles set to distance field collision. But I still get rain falling through the roof. What gives?

A great tutorial.
But I will take this opportunity to ask a question.
I was looking for answers a few evenings in any forum and a query in google does not give an answer.
Question.
UNREAL molecule system any particles in the preview are emitted at the appropriate speed, the same as in the particle uridor.
But after rendering in the sequencer at 30 fps, the emission rate of particles is significantly accelerated.
The problem occurs in Unreal 2.24 and 2.25.
Anyone know the answer?

is there a way to increase the distance from the camera that GPU particles can continue colliding? i have a large scene of a volcano and the GPU particles stop colliding as i back away from the particles.
