Here's a redstone idea for yah Mumbo!

A mail delivery system. For instance, have a city where all the houses have rail tracks connected to their house. The first item in a hopper minecart is an item to identify the destination, second item is the package you want to send to someone and the third is an item to identify the person who sent it. Imagine a rail system that could go into a central system to determine where the package is going, goes to its destination to drop off the package and then returns the hopper mine cart back to the owner.
