Glucose Challenge Test (GCT) vs Glucose Tolerance Test(GTT) | Diabetes Test in Pregnancy

Diabetes Test in pregnancy is done to detect Gestational Diabetes. There are screening and diagnostic test is done to check the patient's condition.
There is a lot of confusion on these tests in patients and the diagnostic centers. Glucose challenge test (GCT) and Glucose Tolerance test (GTT) are done during the pregnancy and each has a different procedure. Thanks for this information, it helped clear up confusion I had between the two tests. My doctor gave me the GTT test even though all my prior blood tests came out normal. Can I choose to do the GCT instead?

Hello trupti mam, currently I'm 29 week of pregnancy, my glucose test done at 28 weeks. I had breakfast in the morning then after I went to hospital they gave glucose to drink then after 1hour they collected samples of blood and urine and gave report and sugar level is 114. Is it high?? Hello Doctor, I had my GTT test today. I vomited after 1 hour of taking glucose. I had already given 1 hour blood test sample by then but vomited before giving 2nd hour blood test. The lab assistant asked my to de retest after 3 days? Should i have gone ahead with the test after vomiting?
