Just as people flock back to theme parks post-pandemic, there have been a number of accidents on popular rides. The latest incident could have ended in disaster if not for some quick-thinking heroes who banded together to control the ride. It happened at a festival in Michigan. Scary video shows the base of a “Magic Carpet Ride” start to come apart and people fear it will topple over, injuring the people strapped into the ride. That’s when a group of good Samaritans come to their rescue. #InsideEdition

Reasons like this I don't trust carnival rides. I'll ride the ones at bigger amusement parks but I don't trust carnivals. I think they definitely get skipped on a lot of safety protocols.

I can’t imagine how terrifying that must have been. Thank God everyone is okay. Hats off to the brave people who stopped the ride!

Props to that guy who put his phone down to help people

It only needs one man to trigger a domino effect. Kudos to that guy.

I was on this ride and it was the most terrifying thing I have ever gone through. I am so extremely thankful for the amazing people who helped stop the ride. They prevented many possible injuries and helped complete strangers without asking for anything in return. So for this, I thank you for protecting me.

The man that started it is a hero. He pulled the Skorpion “Get over here”! From Mortal Kombat and the crew arrived to help and save the day. Great job!

Here we see the bystander effect in action. No one was sure what to do at first. When one man started helping the operator, the others rush in to help. Props to those who act first and inspire others.

Never trust a ride that gets taken down and put back up each week

No wonder why some people get scared of high rides because of stuff like this.

Dumb question here, why didn't the operator hit the emergency stop button? That is supposed to immediately stop the ride.. I'm guessing because it's the carnival and they don't really have safety inspections for those places....

Many accidents happened at theme parks ended tragically, but this one is a happy ending thanks to the brave people around. So impressed that these heroes know exactly what to do and not panicking. Kudos to all.

Imagine being that person who yells “Final Destination” before the ride begins just to be funny & this happens

I've seen a rollercoaster like this but if was way worse there's a place called joyland in Lubbock tx and there tallest ride called the galaxy got stuck and the people were so high up and they stayed up there for a while then the employees risked their lives climbing all the way up and helping the people get down I was like one wrong step and it's done but thank God everyone survived.
