She was born and raised on the island of O'ahu where her ancestors lived from time immemorial. For over 25 years Healani has served as an educator who has taught at Hawaiian immersion preschools and Hawai'i high schools and colleges for over 25 years. Currently, she is an outspoken advocate for the protection of Hawaiian lands, water, ocean resources and marine life, and iwi kūpuna. Healani sits on various community boards and is a member of the O'ahu Water Protectors, a group of leaders who are calling for the shut down of the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility.

exactly dude!! we don't have "waterism" as our main system we have "moneyism"...MONEY is the systems name!! capital is just another word for money and instead of referring to this system that's being forced on everyone reguardless if we agree or not and reguardless if we understand we are all being forced to deal with moneyism we need to start referring to capitalism AS moneyism instead that way we can all start to understand it better!! there are better alternatives! there are alternatives that have never been tried!! moneyism is simply a system that makes MONEY/capital/etc what is MOST important. money is numero uno if it's not a word that means money it's going to be somewhere UNDER money...this means money is more important than me/you/all humans/all life on earth/obviously even the earth on start referring to this system by the easier for the majority to understand word, moneyism....once the majority starts to accurately understand our current system we will reject it because 99+% of people would never want money to be what is MOST important!! most humans would NEVER say/admit/want money to be more important than their loved ones/their god/our ONLY home the earth!! most people have zero clue tho that capitalism just means a system that makes money more important than EVERYTHING else...sure other things are still important BUT money will ALWAYS be NUMBER 1 with (capital)moneyism!! if something else was more important than money we would NOT be calling our system "moneyism" would we!!
