Excellent video with clear instructions. If I wanted to automate the switching, I was thinking of replacing the switch with another relay contolled by a microcontroller (Arduino). Thoughts?

for this to work do you need a relay with two 87's or with one 87 and one 87a. I tried it with a 5 prong that has two 87's and it is a dead short

Hello sir I have unusual problem the car is 80s Opel tipical GM wire harnest lay out . I try to understand my wire harnest but not sucedeing in my task. Multipel times engine refuse to stop alternator is back feading I noticed it has no diode in the dash board. So my questions wuld by: 1. Can the Positive Linear Voltage Regulator back fead if there is no diode or can the Voltage Regulator use diferent electruciti types?, 2. How is the Alternator preciseli Delco 12si manuali controled to charge baterry at centrain engine speeds Im prefering to Cloosed Loop Voltage Regulation For Alternators, 3.Is it posibel that 3pin Blinker Relay can work in reverse way because when my rear bulb holder got corision on its ground wires the bulbs gone crazy and for some reason key switch black thin wire started to smoke the result If I used all 4 blinker hazards the engine worked in union with 3pin Blinker Relay I inspected the wire harnest and noticed the ground shares multipel mini ilumination bulbs from the dash board, cigaret lighter, rear heater defroster windscrean switch, so I suspect the dashboard and the 4 pin rear defroster relay pin 86 from that relay is bound to Alternator field wire and also shares dashboard Alternator bulb conection, 4. Can Xenon bulb with out ballast act similar like wacum tube ? because I see at nigh arc shot from my engine compartment so I suspect arcing relays interact with xenon bulbs . So I hope this mess makes sence . All of my relays are ic chip based who share lot common - and + conections with rest of my wire harnest. So I have dificulti to understand that reverse polariti staff.
Only thing I have as relays are:
3pin Blinker, 2pin Head Lights ON Buzzer, 4pin Windscrean Defroster Relay, 6pin Windscren Wiper Relay, Positive Linear Voltage Regulator Dashboard and 4Pin GM Ignition Module, Horn nothing ells what so ever about electrinics It does not even have radio I trow it away. So I hope for some more info how that changes can by controled.Some effects are usefull some are anoying. For exampel when that Blinker relay deal acured I gained bether economi that relay nearli resembeled like some sort of buzz coil and the baterry refused to discharge under colder weather . So I was reali confused why that acured honestli.
