Getting Started with Roon

If you'd like to learn more about Roon on Android you can ask me since they never use android devices in these videos. I have both and I much prefer Roon on Android for several reasons but the main reason being it's just a better experience with audio quality and third party compatibly.

This is such a good video. I have a memory impairment which causes me to struggle with learning new things. I have long wanted roon but never been able to understand how to set it up. I have a new lumin u2 mini arriving this week and would love to use roon with it. My music is all stored on a 10tb ext HDD. I dont use any streaming services. I play control my music via ipad. Could you please give tips on how to proceed with my installation of roon on the lumin u2. Should my ext HDD be connected to the lumin or my pc? I use a bi-amped hifi to play back my music and have chord qutest DAC (via usb)for the lumin. And advice would be appreciated.
I have been using the aries mini for a few years but the unstable lightning ds software has driven me towards the lumin. Many thanks and take care.

Help and tips needed!

I currently have a roon ready amplifier currently connected to a pc.

I coud use the pc to run core, but I dknt want to lesve the pc on and I can also hesr the fans running which annoys me greatly (its a big gamer-pc)

What budget friendly devuce do you recommend? I do sometimes game kn my tv via the pc and then I want to use my stereo-system for sound.

As my amplifier is roon ready: does it mean that roon core doesn't have to be connected to the amplifier? Are there any benefits in bavjng it connected to the amplifier?

Are there any cheap/budget friendly devices you would recommend? (Im thinking of buying used and use the device solely for rokn core and nothing else)

I've roon (promo 50% off) since 2 weeks and I don't know yet how to use it. This video explains nothing... Example : "what you see on this mac is exactly the same as the remote"...and ? what does it mean ??

Just to update. Thanks to your super advice I have successfully set up roon on my aurelic aries mini. I wanted to test things out. Everything works perfectly at the correct bit rates etc. You've made it so easy for me.
Have you any suggestions for maximising sound quality? My hifi and DAC (chord questest) are decent quality. The lumin shouid arrive this week too. I wouid like to squeeze as much quality out as possible.
