How to use a nasal cannula inhalation tube

Here are the instructions on how to put on a nasal cannula for gas inhalation:

Preparation: Ensure that the nasal cannula is clean and undamaged. Adjust the flow rate on the gas inhalation apparatus according to the prescribed or recommended setting.

Positioning the Cannula: Hold the nasal prongs with the open tips pointing downward and towards you. Insert the prongs gently into your nostrils, ensuring they fit comfortably.

Securing the Tubing: Place the tubing over your ears to secure the nasal cannula in place. Adjust the slider under your chin to ensure a snug fit without excessive pressure.

Start Inhalation: Turn on the gas flow, and breathe in normally through your nose. Make sure the cannula remains in place and adjust if necessary for comfort.

After Use: When finished, turn off the gas flow, carefully remove the nasal cannula from your nostrils, and clean the cannula as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
