Growing shallots for green onion, From planting to harvest, ready in 2 months, I have never seen anyone do this outside of Thailand, but if you have grown shallots for the "green onion" top lets us know.

Neighbor back home in se Utah, caught the gardening bug and besides tending to his lawn, his Catalpa shade tree and the annual flowers he'd set out, he planted some rhubarb and these shallots, never heard of shallots, and I thought back then they were green onions, fast forward a coupla years and onions are one thing, garlic, chives and shallots are others.

We do the same things here in Seattle. Except garlic, late August. They grow, even freezing snow fall. This year only 6 in and it started falling last Friday. A lot place closed down cus of it. Not to accustom to it here.

Hi, where do you get your shallots from ? I bought some recently and trying to from them indoors in soil but only 2 or 3 will grow to spring onion and the other like 7 won’t . Maybe you could suggest where to get them ? I live in England . Thank you 😊
