I salute her because she came forward and talked about it, our society doesn't understand what it is to have psychosis, people try to hide so that they maintain their status or show themselves as normal in front of people.

I think people need to be open about it and psychosis should not be hidden and should be accepted if someone shows the symptoms, medical treatment should always be approached.

I don't think "the person who doesn't fall is a strong person."

"The person who falls and then gets up is a strong person."

I used to listen to music with headphones almost every hour of the day, daytime, evening and even before bed. One of the reasons was that it blocked auditory hallucinations. Then my brain found a way to present me the screams over the headphones, it was like some demon screamed in front of my face and I hear their scream over the music I listened. And although hallucinations are really scary, the worst is the racing thoughts and paranoia and delusions.

Im always listening to music. It helps a ton, the louder the better. I wear headphones and they talk over it.

As a care giver for a schizophrenic man I am grateful for your insights into coping mechanisms. You are by, the way, an excellent presenter whose positive spirit comes through loud and clear.

I suffer from aa form of psychosis, it's so hard to not feel alone and lost in your own world. The thoughts that I'd get were disturbing and gross. I know it isn't me, however it's hard to remember that. Music, videos, people speaking all seem connected and as if they where all in on it. Everything relates to me. In an unhealthy obsessive sense. I just feel constant fear and anxiety. I feel as if I have no control over it. I can barely interact with humans anymore. I just feel so nervous, wondering if I'll get some hidden meaning in their words. And the worst part is, I feel like I'm faking it I call that demon number 3. It controls me most of the time; makes me think I can't admit my feelings, or that I'm doing it for attention. But I know my thoughts are real. I just struggle so hard with the delusion of not being delusional.

I have a adult son with schizophrenia. I’m getting him to listen to you or anyone about his voices he won’t. I don’t know what else to do. They just started putting him on one medication. I don’t know where to reach out or what to do but I like listening to you.

My sister has schizophrenia and her mood are all over the place. On top that she has diabetes and lost her left leg and all her toes on the other foot.

To our dad passing away 8 year's ago to the traumatized because of all of that. To the Dr's just giving her medication after medication to her taking about 20 different pills a day.

So I reached out on YouTube and found this video. I'm going to go over to my mom's to try and have her watch this video because she is having a bad day today and i just want her to feel happy inside because she is loved.

😮 Mental Health is so huge and it needs more awareness for help.

Thank you for your video and I know it was a couple of year's ago but i hope you see this message to tell you your an inspiration person ❤!!!

Have a great rest of your day 😊💖✨️!!!

I usually like to music a lot to cope with it. Headphones or earphones everywhere I go and my family thinks I am weird but they don't understand.

Observing pet is an interesting one, mine freaks out when I’m hallucinating because I’m obviously very anxious so if I were to gage what’s real by him I would be more anxious because I feel he’s showing me that it’s real because he’s freaking out and often that has the opposite for me.

Seems like there's a lot of anxiety associated with what you were going through. My wife was diagnosed with bipolar disorder years ago. With her she seemed to lose contact with reality, no visual hallucinations. She thought people were talking negatively about her, which made her want to angrily confront them. She had to be restrained on occasion. Meds did not help her at all. They just zonked her out. She eventually did herself in. I guess everyone's psychosis is different.

Ugh thank you so much I had my first episode Saturday I never knew our brain could do that it was the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced 😞 last 30 min it was drug induced and happened right after I had high THC dabs 🥺

Thanks for this... I can't believe how intelligently you coped with the problem at such a young age. Very pragmatic but kind hearted as well. Super impressed. Clearly a bright future ahead! 😲💫

Thank you for this. It was really a great help. I've been to neuropsych sessions before but I stopped visiting them already for a certain reason. Then I chose not to open up the part that I think I'm having hallucinations to her, to my doctor... because of the fear that I might get diagnosed with schizo...but now I'm still having them...the voices...the visuals...
