The difference between an eighth grader and Bo Burnham is that, unlike Bo, the eighth grader can fit her hand inside a Pringle can.

"Why can't we all see ourselves in her, the way we usually do for older male characters?". Bo makes a powerful observation but not followed up by Trevor.

Something that older people don't recognize about Bo is how much that he respects his audience, and not in the traditional sense that we usually understand
He is not only proud to have a younger group of people be fans of his work, but he also sees them as more than just this group of kids. Yet also, he acknowledges their experiences as youth. He recognizes these eighth graders as complex people whose voices are just as interesting and just as important.

Bo is just out there begging people to just be real, be genuine; maybe we should just do it.

When Trevor said, "Welcome to the show" my brain instantly went, "this is Bo, this is his show and Bo likes to dance like this."

I wonder how batshit the full unedited interview was. This was chopped up to hell and back.

I love how he doesn‘t make fun of 13 year old girls but sees them as people.
When I was 13 in eight grade I went through a depressive episode (it was diagnosed) and no one really took it seriously because I was just a 13 year old girl. A lot of them struggle because it is a very overwhelming and complicated time and what they really need are people like bo.

I teach middle school and his movie is the most poignantly accurate depiction I’ve every seen. He pulls back the curtain on this phase of life and treats the characters with so much compassion and respect. It also doesn’t shy away from the harsh realities of the age. I loved it.

Seeing the mainstream media and world accept and take interest in a relatively smaller celebrity that Ive loved and looked up to for the past 8 years, is truely a weird feeling

He must be speaking to the eighth grade girl in me then, cause I'm a 38 year old man and I think he's one of the wittiest comics of all time.

His special, "What, " should be chiseled into Mt. Rushmore. I consistently can't believe that much quality material was all fit into a single hour.

I was a teenager when I came across Bo Burnham and I related so well to him. And thank god for that because he helped me get through my angsty high school years. So yeah, teenage girls relate to him, but they need someone who can be a voice for them.
