News Reporter's Eyes glitch during live Broadcast

CTV news broadcasts the weirdest, most unexpected thing I've seen on tv.

I do NOT think this is anything more than a communications error in the broadcast. There are a lot of explanations that don’t involve people being Lizards.

That's a rolling screen repaint artifact. The images are compressed to attempt to only store the data about the area of the screen that changes. This happens occasionally if you watch over the air antenna broadcast television when the signal is slightly degraded when repainting the screen. This is a screen repaint artifact- when she blinks and the eye region data is ‘painted’ on the screen the rest of her head had moved slightly downward, causing the lower lid and eyelashes to be ‘old data’ that wasn't refreshed.

My skepticism about this sort of thing dropped considerably when, working as a retail cashier, I saw the pupils of a female customer - on two separate occasions - go into cat-like slits as I looked at her. I guess my face registered some shock, because both times, she quickly lowered her eyes and averted her face. After the second time, I never saw her again.

For you non-Canadians... That's Janis Mackey Frayer. She's been on Canadian TV since she was a young person in the 90s. She was a host on the Canadian youth TV channel "YTV" for many years as "PJ Jazzy Jan". She was much beloved by the youth back in the day and has since become a respected news reporter during the many years since.

It’s crazy how many people have never seen a digital video glitch and think it’s “demons” or “shapeshifters”. I’ve been working with digital video for decades and this glitch is so common it’s boring. Do these people think digital television, when the signal degrades, is going to go all “snowy” like old analogue TV, despite working on vastly different principles?

My most reoccurring dream was being put into a garden with all sorts of other children at a very fancy restaurant/resort. All the parents were being served by lizards in disguise of humans, they could not hear us warning them they were eating the last “guests” and they would be the next meal for the next group. It was my job to teach all the kids to fly so we could all soar high enough to come back down and shatter the glass house they were trapped inside. I was about three or four when I started having that dream and had it at least once a year til high school.
